Wilson US Opens are great...until the match starts. By then, they are completely fuzzed up and are a totally different beast than the beautiful ball that comes out of the can. I played one tournament with the Australian Open Series ball. It does not fuzz up much, but comes out of the can very flat.

Slazenger Wimby & Dunlop Roland Garros - two best ball ever (my favorite ball - Tecnifibre X-one isn't used at any GS......yet)

I have 3 favorite balls, that I play in rotation:

1st choice: Tecnifibre X-one (multi colored can)
2nd choice: Slazenger Wimbledon Ultraviss (purple can)
3rd choice: Dunlop Roland Garross (black can)

All 3 are pretty durable - the X-one is the wildest of them, so not so good in the wind. best wind ball is the Dunlop Rolans Garross, because it just acts like a more heavy ball and is more steady in the wind.
Best ball, when it darkens - and of course also very good in general is the Slazenger Wimbledon Ultraviss because you really see the ball clearly better than any other ball, that I've tried so far.

Don't know - I buy mine locally in shops where I live.

I think you may be able to get them in UK internet tennis shops though. Do a search Google.

I really like the Dunlop Roland Garros balls - very sturdy, not too lively, durable and clearly one of my favorite balls together with Tecnifibre X-One and Slazenger Wimby

I know you all are in the us, but if you have the chance, try out the HACKER NIVEL #1 #2 #3 #4,

those are balls of different level and price, very durable and cheaps,

but to compare #1 are like a Wimbledon slazenger, (about 7 u$s)

you choose your ball in order to the weather you are playing,

you can get them in Argentina, (Hacker is the second brand of babolat, specialized in accesories)

I just bought the Slazengers and they're pretty sweet. They last a long time too. :)

I was over in Europe last year, I can't believe the cost of tennis balls there. It was equivalent to like $5 a can! I just brought some at a local sports supermart for $1.25 a can for Dunlop and Penn Extra duty.

Just can't believe that... How much does it cost to play tennis in Europe?

In Finland all the quality tennis balls (slaz wimby, roland garros etc.) cost ~10€ (13-15$) /4-ball can. That's what I call expensive.

But still, another vote for the Slazenger Wimbledon.

A friend of mine lives in Russia part of the year. He said courts there cost $100/hour.

penn atps are the best, they're cheap (1.89 a can here at academy) and they come 4 to a can, and they have great air pressure

Hard courts I like ATP Penn best. Nothing can beat Prince for clay court balls. They have more life after a match and 2 weeks in my bag than a new can of anything else.

i like dunlop Fort balls. vairly cheap and keep their bounce long. after about 5 sets or so they tend to lose their felt and turn into little rockets. still bounce well.

otherwise like slazenger ultra viz balls although in wet conditions they fluff up and slow down a lot and pretty much are ruined by wet play.
