Just wondering how many stringjobs each of your racquets have been through until you switched to a new one, as I think stringing once-a-week for me might be excessive.

so you've strung your racquet well above 25 times? I was wondering if my racquet, the k-six-two, would still be useable after 30 stringjobs; performance and durability wise.

yeah it will be usable.

okay, thanks. I questioned this because of an extremely old thread, claiming that racquets were dead after 12 stringjobs. That would make me lose a pretty penny if that were true,

say you are a competitive junior- playing just about every day- you restring three times a week. If after 12 stringjobs a racquet would be dead, that means that in a month you need to throw away a racquet.

So basically whoever said that is in their own little world.

thats what I'm trying to figure out right now. If a modern wilson/head racquet can withstand over 30 stringjobs without losing it's playabilities, then I'm fine with that.

^^Maybe you can restring the racket 100 times over, just so long as it doesn't crack. cause how else would you know if it is losing playability or not ???

Breaks about every week, but if I get hammered from school, then ever other week?

i've begun to play 4 times a week and i have no intention of restringing more than every "quarter." it's kinda ******** to restring every two hours or so of play or three times a week. who are these people???

As iv just broke all my k tour90s and iv got the new blade tour and havent hit a ball with it yet i cannot comment.

Wilson rackets are getiing made weaker and weaker to break i think.

However my pro staff original is over 15years old and its going strong.

As long as your stringers good the issue of you racket not lasting isnt there. Thats as long as you look after your racket. If it breaks in less than a year wilson always replace you anyway.

Lastly id add this might not apply to high tensions if you string silly high 65 up you might lose some life.

All 4 of mine have been strung more than 25 times, but they are also 5 years old, and stringing 1 every 2 weeks starts to add up over time.

I probably would have bought new ones by now, but they stopped making the frame so I had to make due. I'm sure they play nowhere near how they did when I first got them.
