View Full Version : Stringing style: should bumper guards be tied to the grommet or not? Pics inside

The bottom racket on both pics shows the bumper guard tied to the grommet. The top racket meanwhile only shows one side to be tied together.

Which style is better and/or preferred?

Companies don't mandate this currently, some frames benefited from this as the edge of the strip could have a vibration that some players felt. I only found this to be a problem on newly installed strips.

hey protege, I'm curious as to how i can string such that both sides are 'tied' down? when i string my k90 ATW pattern, it'll be one side tied and the other not tied.
