hmmm. I have em on my racket

They have alot of power in em. I have to lower my strokes just to get my balls in. But i did get some more spin from it.

They sucked. I literally ripped through them. The outer coating of the string just kept peeling leaving only a tiny, skinny thread. Broke em in only 5-6 hours of play.

I have X-one in my prestige mp and it doens't break fast. This is mainly due to it's dense stringpattern and the fact that I don't use massive spin. A friend of mine snapped this string in only a few weeks. He uses a 16/19 pattern and wants to hit the crap out of every ball:)

I forgot to mention that it's a very nice string. Also check out www.stringforum.net for string reviews. I hope this helps you out:)

What's your game like? Do you break your strings frequently? In a hybrid or by itself?

I don't care for this string at all. Too much power with no real upside. For not too much more $$ I'd go with Klip Legend Nat. gut.

im a hard server, with lots of spin on forehand, 5.0

I had the same experience, I had to adjust my strokes to keep the ball in

I'm thinking about trying out the red ones in 17 and I know a lot of people here are saying that they should be strung higher because of the extra oomph that it gives. Would a tension of 58 suffice or would 60 be better?

Current setup:
Wilson Kblade Tour
Wilson NXT 16

I have the clear ones in 17 gauge and they played amazingly on my K blade tour. I got a lot of power and spin from them, and I don't get why some ppl are saying they rip fast. I still have mine and it's been a little over 2 months.

Necro, what tension do you have the Kblade strung at?

i just started using x-one biphase 16 in the crosses with pro red code 16 in the mains. i used to use gamma zo pro, but this current set up is so much better. it gives you a lot more control as long as you can generate your own power. i am a pretty hard hitter and it feels great

i got a red x-one on my racket. played for the first time today with it and it was awesome. you guys are just too picky on strings. it gives me power, control and spin at 56lb. i don't know what most people are talking about, with not getting control at low tension, and getting higher tension on this string because it gives too much power at lower tension. it's great for me. i just hope this string will last.

shin: I string my racquets at 54 pounds of tension.

I found that the red one played quite differently from the clear. The red felt... I don't know how to describe it. I guess it was a bit more stiff. As for the red code... That was harshest poly that I used, I will never go near the stuff again.

i strung the mains of pro red code 16 at 61 and the crosses of x-one biphase 16 at 60. its a great combo if you can generate your own power. my backhand is like 10x better now

I recently tried this string at 58 on my speedport. I had been breaking strings every five hours of playtime and was using progressively more durable strings. When my guy put Lux BB in, my elbow started hurting after one hour.
New stringer recommended NRG and X1, really liked the X1.
I had assumed they would break after two matches but they have lasted for 8-10 matches already. Don't know if this is a fluke but I was very excited not to have the elbow pain.
A little powerful but not bad feel. Also, I really like the sound of the string, nice pop.

I think X1 is one of the better multis. I like the feel better than NXT.

Like NXT, it doesn't last that long. Both start to show visible abrasion after a while, then they will break.

I like the X1 as a hybrid with Redcode. The X1 will usually breaks or shows a lot of abrasion at about the same time the Redcode seems to lose all it's life.

OK, disregard my last post with regards to durability. Today was the first day I opened up my serve (hit hard first serves) since i injured the elbow with Lux BB. Shredded the X1 in about a set and a half.

Sad.

Try NXT *Max* now, their frequent player's version...
