Anyone have any data on the stringing pattern for the KBlade98? I found conflicting data between the Klippersite listing and the Wilson Site.

From Wilson:
K Blade 98
String Tension : 50 - 60 lbs
String Length : 34? (ss: 9?6??) or (16? M?s and 19 X?s)
String Pattern : 18 x 20
Start Main : At head. Mains skip 8H, 10H, 8T and 10T.
One Piece : Start X?s at bottom at 8T. Tie off X?s at 5H.
Two Piece : Start X?s at top at 8H. Tie off X?s at 5H and 7T.

From Klippermate:
50 - 6021'M - 19'C18M X 20C8,10T - 8,10B7B8T6T - 12B
Tension/Lengths/Pattern Type/Skip Main/Tie off Main/Start Cross/Tie off Cross

Questions:
-Tie off of crosses on two piece? K-mate states "12-B" for 12 bottom of frame? Huh? Can someone clarify? Do I count 12 from the center?

Damn, not one person strings a KBlade98?

ok the klippermate instructions don't even make sense. go with the wilson instructions and tie off crosses at 5H (h stands for head which should be tied off on the mains) and then tie off crosses at 7T (T stands for throat which should be 7 from the center point at bottom of racquet).

X stands for crosses.

I have three Kblade 98s.

According to the USRSA.

Mains skip: 8T,10T & 8H,10H
Tie of mains: 7T
Start 1piece: 8T
Last 1piece X: 8H
Tie 1piece : 6H
Start 2piece: 8H
Last 2piece X: 8T
Tie offs 2piece: 6h, 12T

Hope that helps.

I have an urgent question right now; currently have a kb98 on the stringer and I'm on the last main, but it ends at the throat. does this mean I have to string bottom to top? I need help right now.

Yup. Or you can cut the string and do a hybrid. Start from the top up. The pattern i gave gives you both options.

Up to you, but normal for a one piece string job to be done bottom up on the crosses.

okay, so a KB98 can take bottom to up, correct? thank you very much, as I was starting to sweat, fearing i might damage the racquet,

I've done it numerous times and nothing has happened. I am pretty sure you will be okay unless you are stringing it a really high tension. I was at 57.

Next time, if you want to avoid it. Hybrid the same string or do an aroudn the world variation.

Do a search for Yulite and his thread and videos. Very informative.

I have all that information, per the Wilson site. What I'm confused on is where to tie off the crosses on a 2-piece. 12t makes no sense to me. Really it's the ending cross. 12T- where is that? Do I count 12 from the center? That's where I'm lost.

Thanks.

Yes. 12 from the middle of the throat. Every grommet.

Wow, that's half way up the frame isn't it, and tieing it off on a previous cross? Given that's it's an 18x20 pattern, 12T would be a cross grommet wouldn't it?

Dont mean to sound like I'm questioning but just not making sense for some reason. May need more coffee at this point in the AM

Yup. I questioned it too.

Until the USRSA said it was okay as well as some stringers who worked at the grand slams. Apparently Wilsons are made like that, as most of the frames from that company have an odd cross tie offs (Especially durng a hyrbid set up).

Thank your for this. I never understood what the numbers meant before the "H" and "T" for stringing purposes.
