....decrease power? I recently got a k95 and i find myself hitting more long balls than usual, and i guess that's because the open patter (16x18) has a springy quality that pushes the ball longer. Will a dampener reduce this springy effect leading more control?

a dampener shouldn't because all its suppose to do is reduce vibration. if you want string savers might reduce the springy effect as strings will not move as much as the strings in open patterns do and it should increase the tension a bit.

no, but if you invent one it could be your path to financial independence...

ive found that i tend to hit harder with a damp..

if you are sending balls long, try increasing tension

Dampener will only reduce the vibration you get when you hit the ball. I doubt it decreases power. You can try to get a smaller gauge string (IE 17g strings has a decent bite to the ball) or try to get more spin into your shots?
