View Full Version : Hybrid tensions for Yonex ?

I use classic hybrid (soft poly 17g/ syntetic gut 16g) and strung my babolat PD and prince O3 tour MP at the same, 25/25 kg. Sometimes full poly at 25/24kg... What hybrid tensions do you recomend me for Yonex RD7 (95 head, very flexy), to get most uniform string bed and sweetspot ?
This will be my first experience with yonex isometric head shape...

I'm playing later a Yonex RDX 500 MP with a hybrid soft poly 17g & syntetic gut 17g.
Since Yonex advises to string crosses 5% lower in crosses I did not know what to do.
I strung mains Weisscannon Silverstring @ 53 and Gosen OG Micro @ 59.
I haven't noticed any deformation of the frame, rearding to the performace was just fine!
If you follow the rule of 5% less on crosses, I guess you should figure it out what's the tension of the poly which ususally manufacturers advise to go lower than you use with synthetics.
I'm looking for help on this too, I hope someone can help us!

When I used a hybrid of Big Ace (M) and PSGD (X) in my RDS001 MP, I strung both the mains and crosses at 57# without issue.
