What string do you think keeps its tension best? And how much is it and is it worth its value? feel and durability?

where in NJ do you live? and SPPP holds well for a poly, but natural gut takes the cake.

*edit* oh wait, I recall you saying that you live in West Windsor, probably not near Galloway

Natural gut would provide the best tension hold. The best blend that I've ever tried that held tension well was SPPP with Isospeed New Professional (other than natural gut, for us people who don't want to spend the extra $$)

2006 USRSA tests found Signum Poly Plasma 1.23 ranked just 43rd in tension maintenance among polyester strings. Polyester strings on average lose tension roughly 1 1/2 to 2 times as fast as nylon strings. Natural gut strings lost tension at about 2/3's the rate of nylon and 1/2 or less the rate of polyester.

SPPP is the way forward...voted best poly 2 years running. It's cheap and holds tenision well. The 1.18mm gauge provides great spin too.
