View Full Version : Tie down clamp slipped when stringing a Fischer pro number one

Near the end of the crosses, the racquet slipped a bit. It only happened at this point. I would release tension, and retension. It would slip the other way when I did the next cross.


If you've strung this, you can see that the throat is really thin (could this still be called the beam)

Should I just tighten more next time?

Sounds like an old Eagnas stringer I used to use. You may want to make sure all the posts and mounting hardware are clean and make sure you are using the correct mount pad. You should be able to clean it all with alcohol and cotton balls.

It was a silent partner swing. This has never happened with another racquet, and this seems to be the thinnest throat area I've strung.
