hi guys, just wondering, with all the pros using luxilon and polys, they use them to hit as hard as they do to keep the ball in, right?
but they string at very low tensions. my question is, why so low if you want more control? im sure theyre not thinking about tennis elbow?

Some pros use high tensions with luxilon. Safin strings it at around 60 lbs and Blake strings it in the upper 60s.

Please remember that Change in tension = trajectory, not power.

The control comes from the player, that is why they are pros

luxilon can be strung at lower tensions than synthetic gut... because it is a poly. Second, its all about preference. they probably wont get tennis elbow due to the intense conditioning they go through, so their muscles can take large beatings on the court.

Could you please explain what you mean by "Change in tension = trajectory".

Thanks
