my number one serve for first and second is a slice/spin serve.i come up on edge ulnar deviate my wrist but do not fully pronate.will from your kick serve progerssion the handle would hit my arm instead of going away from it. on flat serves and kick serve i do pronate with my hand fully turning over with thumb pointing down. is this bad ? i can hit my slice/spin 75 /80 mph(i am 55 and playing 6 years}and my flat 85mph. i am getting more accurate at hitting the wide / body / and "t" targets and do not double fault much and first and second serve are close to the same speed.(really 2 chances to get the same serve in}.

Hey Larry,
It sounds OK... RE: your hand / thumb position during the follow through. To be honest, I wouldn't focus on it too much. It's more important that you are doing X, Y, and Z correctly to get to contact... the follow through will take care of itself if you relax and let the racket / your body decelerate smoothly. That said, you can use the follow through to gauge whether or not you've swung correctly because the follow through is a product of what was going on before contact.
I'm sure you've already seen this, but we made a video on serve pronation (http://www.fuzzyyellowballs.com/videos/index.php/view/957/227/Step_9_Tennis_Serve_Pronation). If you're having trouble with that motion, next time you practice your serve simplify your mechanics... drop the knee bend, for example... so you can focus exclusively on pronating correctly.

wihamilton (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/member.php?u=21896),
My thanks for your time and effort on your site and the teaching vids.
I learned more in 2 hrs with those vids than nearly 3 months with my coach LOL!
I must add that I gotta translate that info into practical use.
Cheers,
mawashi
