I need a cross on my for my 16 gauge premier ace, cuz these strings are REALLY stiff, i need to soften these up. I'm thinking PRINCE synthetic gut w/ duraflex but they are a bit stiff too. so yea
give me name brands please

supex titan
+1 for this. Plays real nice and definately softens up the string bed.

Duraflex is a stiff syn. gut. That is the last string you will want to try.

I recommend Pro Supex Titan as others already pointed out. Forten Sweet is another great pick.

how would spiral flex work as a cross? would it be better to do this with Big ace, or just have a full setup of it?

You can do that. Since you are using half sets, you can go the other way around next time.

Pro Supex Titan (metal grey) or Forten Sweet (white). Both are really easy to string and really soften the overall string bed.
