I have a can of Wilson US Open balls, but inside are Championship balls. What the heck? Has anyone else had this happen to them? And is there anything I can do because I like the US Open balls better. http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo165/spartan12103/Image201.jpg

Return them I guess. I had sort of the same thing happen. I bought some Penn balls, but go Wilsons... I really don't get that at all. But yeah I just returned them.

Just return them for an exchange. Though not as bad as your "case," I've bought Dunlop balls and have had two different numbers coming from the same can.

Before you return them post a picture so we can see. I have never had this happen to me before.

Was this at a pro shop or a chain store? Pro shops should know better, but employees at the big stores usually see a box as a box.

or

Someone bought a case of cheap balls, a case of good balls, switched them, and then retaped/glued the good case back shut and brought them back. On a sealed case, who would check? Most wouldn't I think.

FYI: Correct me if I am wrong, but employees aren't supposed to open up a new can of balls to check to see if the print is the same as the outside label. I could be wrong though!

I once bought a few cans of US Opens, and inside there were Lacoste balls (I didn't know they exist..). Didn't notice any difference in how they played.

I didn't buy them, I won them in some drawing. And the can of balls is sealed, never before opened. I'll get pictures up if possible.

It sounds like they used that one machine that's "As Shown On TV" which can reseal chips, cans, etc. Anyways, if it's from a draw, who cares. Just use them, it's just tennis balls.

Have you spun the balls in the can to see if there is the flaming ball on the other side?

The balls that are used at the US Open have Wilson and the number on one side and the flaming US Open ball on the other side. If you got these balls around US Open time, these could still be the US Open balls.

Most of us are used to the ones that say WILSON US OPEN on one side, but these are not the only US Open balls out there.
