View Full Version : Volkl DNX 3

I'm looking to switch back to an oversize frame. I used a 110 flexible frame for about 10 years then made a radical switch to a midsize players frame. I've had success against lower level players but I find myself not able to hit deep consistently and with spin using a midsize against more capable players. I'm curious about the Volkl DNX 3. The specs seem to fit what I'm looking for and I noticed that Tennis Magazine gave it editor's choice. I play an all court game and am rated 3.5. I play doubles and singles in league play. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about the DNX 3, but the DNX 4 is a nice racquet. It has a really solid feel for a 10.3 oz racquet. Compared to the DNX 3, its a little smaller head (105 instead of 110) and head light balance.
That's a big change to go from a midsize to a 10oz racquet with 110 head. There's lots in between that would help you out.... pretty much anything 11-11.5 oz and 100 head size.

Why don't you try the DNX8? That's be a lot less of a difference than the DNX3.

Thanks for the racket advice guys. Good points about not making such a drastic change. I'll give the DNX midplus rackets a try and I think I'll also try the Yonex RDS 003.
