I finally made some time to play test the k61 95 sticks (both patterns). I've been playing the K61 Tour 90 since April of 07 and prior to that - played about 2 years with the n61 95 18x20.

I've always been curious about the polarizing comments about the k over the n. Here are my thoughts:

- I preferred the 18x20 pattern in the n61 and this stays true for the k. The 16x18 is a bit too lively for me.

- I did not notice any increase in swingweight. Each pattern felt very similar to the k90 and my previous stick, the n61 18x20. I would encourage those staying away because of the posted 340 sw to go ahead and demo any way. I found both patterns quite maneuverable.

- Some have posted that they feel the k is quite a bit more stiff. I don't feel this way. Interestingly, i find it provides more feel (feedback) than the n and is more comfortable to boot - a combination that would make it my choice over the n.

All in all, I would pick the k61 95 18x20 over either of the n61's as well as the k95 16x18.

I had no love of the k95 in the open pattern either, I just could not control it even with a fully poly job. I might be tempted into trying the closed pattern if I ever run across a demo. I think the open N95 is one of the best racquets I have ever hit with, its touch is simply spectacular, I wish Wilson would still make them oh well, such is life!
