View Full Version : Lead tape on n6.1 95 to make the sweet spot larger on the top half of the racquet?

I have a n6.1 95 16x18 and I like it a lot, but it feels as if the sweet spot is too low down on the racquet. Often when I hit the ball on the top part of the racquet, not a shank or frame, but a hit that *would* work fine with other racquets, it doesn't get as much power or pop. I told someone who has used a n6.1 about this, and they said that putting lead tape at 11 and 1 o clock, or at 12, would help add stability and make me get more powerful hits when I hit the ball near the top of the frame.

Is this true? If so, would there be any disadvantages of this? Should I try it out and see what I think? Any particular type of lead tape that would be best for this? Should I do 11 and 1 oclock or 12oclock?

First experience with lead taping, thanks a lot!
