Lleyton Hewitt is arguably one of the smartest players on the tour. His shot selection is brilliant, His concentration is Paramount and his attitude toward his tennis is un-surpassed in enthusiasm. Do you think it's fair to say that Lleyton may be one of the most (if not the most) mentally strong players ever to play the game.

I second that. I don't really like him as a player, but I have tremedous respect for his work ethic, mental toughness and as you mentioned, brilliant tactics. He's not the most talented player on tour but he maximizes his utility (speed clean ground strokes, CONCENTRATION), and that's why he is the 2nd ranked player on tour.

Absolutely, he is right up there with the best. But Federer seems to have an edge now in the mental game over him.
