From andyroddick.com... Pictures anyone (of the Yamaha)?

What as your first tennis racquet that you ever played with?

ANDY: When I was 3 years old I had a small wooden racquet called the Youngster Pro (I think). My first official sponsorship was with Yamaha. I loved their powerful and light racquet…Reminds me of my current Babolat racquet. Good question…thanks!

A Yamaha, really? Assuming the sponsorship was about 10-12 years ago, making him about 11-13 years old then and circa 1993-1995 (rough math), was it an EOS model? Note Andy's emphasis on "light." The Secrets were over by then, no?

Could have been their last gasp as a company, Colpo. I was under the impression that, before using Babolat, Roddick was using Prince.

he did say his first was yamaha and he jumped too his current babolat situation.

they didn't ask racquet history, just his first stick. he probably went with prince after yamaha.
