This might be old news but i stopped by on Miadidas.com and it seems now you can customize the shoes now, and they can be shipped to your house, instead of going to the miadidas store.

Very cool. Not as many color choices as I expected, but a lot of options. Some of them like comfort/standard sockliner, hard/omni court sole, medium/firm midsole I have no idea which would work better.

I don't know if I'd could ever spend $180 on one pair of BVs knowing I could get two pairs of BIIs and still have money left over for strings and tennis balls.

Try this link

link (http://www.miadidas.com/CustomizeShoe.action?ident=I1223470301853_IN&type=0)

The application wouldn't work for me in Firefox, but worked in IE7.

That is pretty cool. I did navy on navy with silver stripes and eyelets. There is just a hint of contrast between the two navy sections due to the different materials. Worth another $80.00 though????

Since these are low volume, are they still assembled in China?

They dropped the price to $140, and I just ordered myself a pair.

What is done differently if you go in the store? I thought they had this thing that measures how your foot impacts the floor. Anyone gone to the store and can compare?

If you go to the miadidas store, i thought they did a bunch of testing to let you know what options you need. I think it would be very helpful to know if i needed two different size shoes. As far as i know i don't. And as for the extra cushioning, i'm not sure if it will help or just feel too soft for my feet.

Thanks for the post anyway. I might order some.

I got the miadidas shoes in NY. They cost $180. It sucks that they are down to $140 right after I got them. The process in NY at the miadidas store seems to be no different than what you get online. There was no custom fit (for the barricades). I was just given the choice of regular, medium and wide. The colors offered in NY seem to be the same as what is being offered online. Except for the more expensive price I had to pay, I am pretty happy with my purchase. Having wide barricades is definitely worth it for me as I can't play in the regular ones as my feet are too wide. Hope this helps.

whoa. A week ago they were $180, but now they've reduced the price to $140. I'm getting the new Djokovic falcon in January...

How long did it take to receive them? For $140 I might spring for New Navy on New Navy with Sliver Stripes & Eyelets. I already wear B-V's so "custom fit" isn't an issue. TIA.

It took me 3 and a 1/2 weeks but it could take up to 4-6 weeks depending on when you order in their cycle. I got new navy and indigo grey with silver stripes. If you want a picture let me know and I will try to post. Just a warning - the new navy is a little darker than it appears on the website.

Has anyone ever played with one of these with the Omni Court outsole?

It seems interesting, Im wondering how it would work on hard court or if it would only work on clay?

I used to use one of the Wilson shoes that sort of slide around a bit more, and I kind of liked that. (but I am heavier so I could kind of control it, my friend that was lighter had a lot more problems)

Obviously I would hate to part with $140 just to find out.

Thanks -- I will hold off until I get back from my upcoming tennis vacation since the delivery time frame is a but iffy. For $140.00 I think it is worth it to have a somewhat unique color scheme.

I'm pretty sure someone on here said how his miadidas Barricades wore out in less than six months and they offered to send a new custom pair or refund him.

If it still comes with the warranty I would really considering getting a pair.

I really like the design of the one that was posted

Sorry to dig up such an old thread, but does anyone have experience with returning miadidas shoes?

I called customer service and they said I could return my miadidas barricades for regular barricades - I'm also familiar with the returns process - but was wondering if anyone has dealt with this before.

Do you mean return for 6-month outsole warranty? I am curious if customized pair can be replaced with the identical pair under the warranty for free or maybe with premium over regular price. Anyone knows?

I purchased mine through the San Francisco store back in October and returned them exactly 6 months to the day I purchased them. The manager there wasn't exactly sure what the procedure was for a warranty exchange for a miadidas Barricade (I think I may be the first to do so there). He tried to contact the Portland office but it was closed for the evening. But he went ahead and ordered me the same exact pair that I ordered back in October. I received my new pair about a month later, so I may have gotten lucky to get another pair of miadidas Barricades rather than a regular pair.

Whether or not the 6-month warranty starts either from the day they were purchased or the day the customer receives them is something that I'm unsure of, however.
