You got a great leg bend, why don't you use them more effectively? Toss the ball higher and more infront to get your whole body involved.

Yeah that's what struck me most, is how far I'm NOT getting into the court. Something to work on.

Hey !
Thanks for being the first guy who's not completely lazy and lackdaisical that I've seen out of 10 videos.
OK, very first warmup serves are not what you really want to show. Usually, it's better to have served maybe 15-20, having already warmed up, then take a 5 minute break, THEN shoot the vid.
Motion looks fine, good snap and movement. Some players end up farther in, almost all baseliners end up 2' inside the baseline. Your choice.
Is your serve fast enough? Doesn't seem to be, not for 5.0 mens.

Nice jazzy tune

Nice tune, nice serve. Btw, some people on youtube are jerks aren't they.:???: Like it's all good if people insult other people but give constructive comments, but when they just post stuff like "you suck", then it's a bit annoying. They should at least say why they think so -__-".

Throw your ball toss more out infront of you.
It gives you more extension and follow through.
It's way better for your back also.

Focus on timing the shot better.
Make contact with the ball at the highest point of the ball toss.

I'm not sure about throwing the ball further into the court.
With a modern eastern backhand grip, it seems the ball is struck almost directly in line with the player's head.
In the old days, we tried to figure out RoscoeTanner's and ColinDibley's serves. They struck the ball about an even plane above their heads, both with backhanded side of eastern backhand grips.
If you hold your racket in that grip, then raise it over your head simulating a serve, you can see that the ball almost has to be struck almost BEHIND your head.
Now granted a good serve moves the player into the court maybe 3', but the ball toss still can't get ahead of the player.
And consider that a good serve is struck while the player is still slightly sidways, not fully facing the target, until just AFTER the ball leaves the racket.
At least that would explain why so many pro turn almost BACK to the target on the prepwork for first serves.
I know, you're going to refute me with vids of AndyRoddick.
In my defense, I don't think his serve is anywhere near normal or duplicatable. He somehow faces forward early and snaps his stomach and torso muscles downward, creating rackethead speed from a rather unlikely source.
More traditional, and older style serves like Macs and Ashe's, StanSmith and old farts like that, have them twisting into the serves, not crunching their torso muscles.
I imagine ANY service motion is fine if you can hit it 130 +, have direction and consistency, and you do it without hurting yourself.
We can try to emulate some top pros, but in the end, we're stuck with our bodies, and have to hit serves OUR way.

The set-up is really unique and I like that. The non-dominant arm curves inwards towards the wall behind you helping create that archers bow position. Its really roddickish :). You have a good knee bend but you are not getting the most of it. This is something you need to work on. Another thing is your toss. You maybe want to toss it a little further to front, not much, but just by a little. This forces you to jump towards the ball creating more power in the progress.

Also another good thing what I noticed was that your shoulders were in near perfect position.

Another thing here. See how well you are controlling your upper body. You are even looking at the ball, that's just great. You also got that near 180 degree power curve there. Throwing the ball little further to the front will make it a full 180, now its more like a 160. Also see that you aren't getting much of air. This indicates that you need to really use those legs more.
