Your best surface?

Just wanting to know what surfaces is the best surfaces of you ppl on this forums are and why is it your best?

i've play on clay quite a lot and only a bit on hard courts and a few times on grass.
for me mine would be clay cus the ball bounce is high and slower which lets me set up shots better with more accuracy. And of course who could forget the awesome sliding.

i voted clay because i got 3rd in my first clay tourniment... never tried grass or atificial but i think i tried carpet and hated it

ive only tried hard court and clay, voted hard court because i never really liked the slip and slide.

I love clay! I love sliding (I think I've got the hang of it) and long rallies.
Here's my order of surfaces:
1. Clay
2. Hardcourt e.g. Acrylic
3. Carpet
4. Grass
5. Astro-turf

hmm i think i played on astro turf... did it bounce really low and did the courts stain when a storm came in?

They're artificial grass basically... They have like loads of sand on em and you can slip and slide. I hate em cuz the sands pisses me off and gets into my shoes and stains white socks. And it plays like grass which I dont peticularly like

My best surface either would be indoor hard (medium speed) and outdoor har-tru (slow)

Omni Court/Astro Turf/Artificial Grass.
I've only played on it about 5 times, but I love the way I can hit most groundstrokes in my ideal strike zone - below my waste/above my knees.

I don't like the turf burn you get if you slip though.

I like the speed of the hard court...not too fast, not too slow...just right :-). Although me growing up hitting on hard courts probably makes my preference a bit biased but still hard court rules.

I love clay, but can only play on it when i'm in spain. At home, my favorite is hard court, but preferably indoors. I'm spoilt like that :p

yep i play on that a lot as well and the sand really pisses me off!...but i love sliding but it feels like cheap clay lol
