Are there or were there any all courters or serve and volleyers who had a 2 handed backhand?

How about Todd Martin?

Yes and David Wheaton, Goran Ivanisevic....

Some good doubles players with 2 handed strokes played some SV or all court in singles also....Reneberg, Flach, Luke Jenson, Leach and Pugh, etc....

How about Malavi Washington? Jimmy Connors was an all-courter.

Jurgen Melzer is an all-court player, I think.

On the women's side, would you consider Hingis and Davenport to be all-courters. They both were obviously pretty good at net when you look at how many doubles titles each has won. And they came/come to net sometimes.

Bjorkman is the very epitome and definition of an all-courter and he uses two hands. Heck, so is Santoro, and I'd also consider Loit a bit of an all-courter.

Malivai I'd agree with, Connors...I actually thought of him....but he was semi all court during the middle of his career....and definitely all court right at the end...but I don't think you can really call him SV at all, till the very last couple years.....

JC is asking for S&V or All-Courters that's why I included the original JC. He was fun to watch weather you loved or hated the guy. I miss him.......

I would say Marat Safin is a pretty good all-court player. He's obviously known by many for his big power game, however his touch around the net is pretty underrrated in my opinion.

I know sampras had a two-hander when he started playing pro tennis but I don't know whether he was a serve-and-volleyer then or not. I would assume he was but I wasn't alive then to know so if I am wrong someone correct me.

Sampras was at times labeled a serve and volleyer but was more of an all court player...he tended to serve and volley more than stay back on grass, indoors, and at the end of his career.

However, he didnt' start his pro career with 2 hands...he gave that up at around 14. Stefan Edberg also gave up his 2 hander as a teen.

Sorry for that mistake then, but like I said, I wasn't alive then to know. And I thought I had heard somewhere that he used two hands when he started but then he switched sometime in his career.

**I just realized that this was my 100th post, yay. That is bad though, 100 post in 15 days. And I am usually so quiet.:)**

It's no problem! Like I said...you are right that he did switch...but it was in the juniors....he struggled with it for a few years...when he got to be around 17, he was finally comfortable with the 1 hander in high level competition.

Lefty Mark Woodforde has a two-hander and at one time was a pretty good all-court singles player. I never got to see enough of his singles matches but he may have leaned to S&V a little more than baseline.

What about Miloslav Mecir?
