Hey, I'm looking for a new syn gut and am stuck between the two. can anyone tell me which one to chose? and if so, what gauge? 1.30 or 1.25? im not sure as its a syn gut and syn gut breaks quickly so im opting for the 1.30 but normally use 1.25mm for poly.

i have had good success with SF as a cross string... never played it full job. it does fray/splinter where the aluminum threads are.

Both are great synthetic guts. Great prices on both as well. I find both play crisper than something like Forten Sweet. It really comes down to preference but I did find the Spiral Flex to last a little longer than the OG Sheep Micro.

Try the the OG Sheep Micro Super JC 16, it's 1.29mm, very crisp feel to it...

No, they don't have the Super JC in reels, only the OG Sheep Micro...

I use the OG Sheep alot and I can tell you its good string. Personally its my favorite "best bang for buck" string. The only thing I dont like about it is that the strings move a lot. Best to string at higher tensions with this.

If you really can't decide, why not get both and hybrid them lol... I really like OG-Sheep in my crosses with pretty much any mono-fil or spin (the ones like Gamma Ruff and Wilson Super Spin) strings. I have a set of SF i haven't tried yet though- I'm thinking maybe next string job on my FXP Pres Team.

I can't speak for the OG having not played it but I use SF as a cross in my setups but have never tried a full set. It lasts quite well in 16g and I use 17g poly in the mains. I like it better than even X1 or NRG2 as a cross which are both far more expensive.

I actually like the Head FXP 18. Granted they last <10h, but I string the racquets myself and for $3.95 per set, their performance is well worth it!! :)

I messed up. Its the 16, but it's still my favorite string and I would get it any day over the regular OG.

Spiral Flex is more springy and OGSM is more crisp. Durability was about the same for me with a 17g poly main

SF is really a good string, as a main I get 20 hours, and tension holds nicely. For the price its a super deal. The OGSM was just a so so feeling string that broke quickly.

Sounds like a winner.
Does anyone know a good poly to hybrid with Spiral Flex? Cyberflash? Pro Line II?

I would vote SF as well as it seems to hold tension a little better and be a little bit better on playability as well. OG is a nice string no doubt but I like the SF better for my crosses.
As for a good poly for the mains I would suggest Pro Red Code, Cyber Blue, or even Pro Hurricane Tour.
