What does the "OG" stand for in Gosen's OG-Sheep Micro strings?

My guess was that it stood for maybe "Original Gut"... but curious if anyone can confirm what it stands for if anything at all.

At $1.75 a stringjob, you can't go wrong. I usually use it as a cross to reduce cost and soften up stiff polys. However, my knowledge of this great string remains incomplete without knowing what OG stands for. Maybe we could give Gosen a call if noone knows.

I seem to remember that "OG" is Osaka Gosen.

So the full name of the string is Gosen Osaka Gosen Sheep Micro? Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. But your guess is as good as mine.

Well they do have strings named "Polylon Polylon" and "Polylon Polybreak"- so it's possible lol.

Google "Osaka Gosen Nobenawa Co" and you'll find some interesting history.

^Haha, I can forgive them because they make such a nice, affordable string.

That's true- it seem to me that most of their low-end string is actually great quality and amazing price to boot! Yay sweatshops!

I've played with a lot of much more expensive strings, and they don't last longer nor do they play so much better, so I stick with Gosen.

Gosen Original Gangsta Sheep Micro. That's what i'm gonna tell people from now on!

I just strung up a couple of Fischer M Pro No.1's (the black and green one) with MSV HEX black on the mains and "Original Gangster" on the crosses... It looks awesome!
