Video starts out slow! Shank and slow then gets ripping!

Kid wants to know what the tennis world thinks?

ground strokes and serve?

Footwork?

(Starts getting after it @ 0:40 into video):)

He is OK...footwork could definitely be improved...there are quite a few shots that he hits late or is reaching for. He seems to be a little flatfooted and takes few, large steps. Tell him to keep his feet moving and to use little steps to better set up for the shots.

His backhand could use a little more loop and either close the racket face a little more or tell him to put more spin on the shot. Also, and this is true for the forehand AND backhand, he should bend his legs more. On his backhand he seems off balance and falling back on his one foot. Tell him to DRIVE into the ball, not fall backwards.

I think I would beat him.
He has common play style, and It is too predictable.
He try to hit too hard and frames a lot of the time.
He needed to be moved around more, It was boring.

Frankly, I think this site has plenty enough tapes... If I wanted to make a comment about some one's playing- Post Anna Kournikova videos.

And it was a joke.

I'm sure Mighty meant "he" and just typed "she". Right Mighty? Mighty is always busy fighting evil with Tom, and Crabby.

Anyway, I would however suggest a fitness program that is off the tennis court.

Actually, not bad. The kid is what we call an efficient athlete. Not a lot of wasted effort. Moves naturally forward into the court with his strokes. Needs some better coaching on his footwork and stroke patterns. But a solid athlete.

Not knowing the kid, let me take a wild guess. He is a very good athlete in other sports who has taken to concentrating on tennis more lately? He does not strike me as one of the robotic kids who has been playing only tennis since 4-5. My guess is he has a solid background in other sports?

I thought he was ok, but it was too robotic, he had no individuality and was a common 21st century kid player.
He didn't seem to have variety and I agree he looks like he done swimming or baseball before.
Backhand needs to be worked on, it was very off balanced.

Ay yayay. Though he can hit it hard, his fottwork is late and sloppy, and I see alot of room for improvement in his backhand. Otherwise he is pretty good...but just by seeing him, he might need to work out a bit too (no fat pun intended)

The noise he makes of the serve needs to go... not at all necessary considering how much effort is going into it.

He's using a ball machine right? because a lot of those backhand look long or in the net.

either a machine or someones feeding him the ball.

i can hear a lot of the fh hit the net and the bh i think went sailing.

i think the kid is going for too much on his shots. he's just wailing on the ball. first goal is always to get it over the net, second goal is to get it into the court.

He needs to work on his serve and backhand the most. He footfaults a lot and will look like a fool if he cant bounce the ball correctly.

seems to be catching the ball too low on most forehands instead of moving into the court. He's also hitting off of his back foot and opening his body too early on his forehand which is most likely why its sailing long a lot. Most of the backhands look like their going long -- close the racket face more and stop falling backwards as you hit, and finish the stroke all the way above your shoulder, instead of stopping at your waste. His service motion completly stops for a moment once he gets the racket above his head. Try to make it more fluid, like one constant motion.
