I don't think anybody is afraid of Roger anymore. They all must believe that they have a chance now if they come against Roger.

They are still afraid of him when it matters...in a GS event. If Murray and Fed face each other at the AO, I will put my money on Fed.

I'm sure before they didn't think playing Roger was over before it started.

He's actually admitting he was scared in the past. Something others never did, probably because they were not. They went on the court and played the best they could come up with. Many play even better than usual because of the higher challenge they face playing him.

I find it somewhat childish to come out at this level and say something like this. It reminds me of the kids at high school who would finally yell back at the bullies.. hey.. I am not scared of you anymore...
Funny part is they never really meant it.

Et, quo? Of course he shouldn't be afraid of any a competitor. If he did, he shouldn't be playing at all.

LOL I think it's funny how they are using the word "afraid".

Doesn't explain why Murray has Federer's number at the moment.

Like Federer said before (not an exact quote), "it's not enough that they believe they can beat me, they still have to beat me".
I do believe people like Murray are capable of beating Federer even on the big stage (GS matches), but like others have said, if they meet in this AO my money is on Federer.
By USOpen time...things may change sufficiently for Murray to go all the way and win it.
