I play a with Pure drive roddick, epoxy in handle and 8grms of lead at 2 and 10. I love it feel is good, weight, all good. i currently string it at 58 to 64 with all poly. lux alu power at 60 plus or msv co focus at 56-58. i am a 4.5 to 5.0 player. Im looking for a little more power (as all of us are im sure). My question is if i add some sort of gut to the mix will this add power, touch what? i know it depends on tension and swing, but all being static will gut add power? Also, im sure there is a thread on this but i searched and gave up after 30 minutes of reading about other stuff. thanks in advance.

Why don't you give it a try? If you add gut, you may feel like you've lost some control but it's worth experimenting. Try it both ways, crossess and mains. Vary the tension as well since lower tensions will give you more power.

I use gut in my mains and poly crosses and string it low 50's. Plenty of power in a BB11 mid....not as much as I would get with the same combo in PDR however.
