hi, everyone. I've been having problems with tendonitis in my shoulder for several months now, and it's been greatly affecting my ability to hit a forehand. I'm looking for a very arm-friendly string, that will reduce the pain and give me the opportunity to hopefully win some tourneys. Thanks.

Natural gut or a soft multi. (I like Babolat Xcel Power the best out of all multi's I've tried.)

Take care.

lol. I've been resting for two+ weeks, so I'll try a good multi when I get back.

You might use Prince's Premier with Softflex, then. And Gamma's TNT2 Rx, specifically made for arm trouble, and not a multi too; no longer made but still around and available.

2 weeks is nothing when it comes to a serious TE/GE.

I suggest more rest and lots of icing and a return to tennis when there is no more pain.

I was actually surprised at how arm-friendly Wilson's new Hollow Core is. Very soft, but still lively.

Other than that, any good multi or natural gut will do. Stay away from poly and stiffer syn guts.

Gut, Gut, Gut!
Rest, Rest,Rest!
Stretch, Stretch, Stretch!
Stretching is the most overlooked part of physical fitness. Andy Roddick, by the way, spends about 1/2 hour after every match just stretching his arm and shoulder. Mind you, he has a personal trainer to work with him, but it illustrates the point. You've got to take care of your body to play this sport.

Forgot to say Ice, Ice, Ice!
That, and gut takes a leak on any "good multi".

game set match 46 TIMES!!

Yeah, the usual ones herein--except for the OP, whose thread it is and who doesn't appear to want natural gut now.

Forgot to say Ice, Ice, Ice!

Yeah, I've been icing every day for about 30 minutes. I've had this before, so hopefully it'll go away.

Iso-Speed Pro 17 or Pro Classic are both rather soft and comfy.

Here are some really soft multis:
Head Intellistring 17 1.28 136
Head Intellitour 17 1.28 136
Pro Kennex IQ Element Z 17 1.21 137
Isospeed Platinum 16 1.27 138
Prince More Feel 16 1.31 138
Head Protector 16 1.31 140
Pro Kennex IQ Comfort 17 1.27 142
Head Intellitour 16 1.33 143
Gamma Professional 18 1.22 144
PowerAngle Duo Color TNT Fat Core 17 1.26 145
Pro Kennex IQ Element 2 16 1.30 145
Alpha Gut 2000 18 1.21 146
Ashaway Dynamite 17 1.24 147
Gamma Asterisk 17 1.26 150
Isospeed Professional 17 1.25 151
Isospeed Professional 17 Classic 1.27 152

But nat gut is even softer (as many have pointed out).

The OP did ask for Most arm friendly string, so I would say nat. gut. Anything else is not the most.

I agree with what many posted here:

1) Rest for couple weeks.
2) Restring your racket with gut.

agree.. i actually restrung with full gut at a lower tension. I was forced to slice, chip and swing slower to keep the ball in play, but it was so worth it. Helped me get back to 100% in 2 months and I had a really bad case of TE.

I had 3-4 reels of poly and multi lying around. I threw them out immediately after trying gut. I have only used full gut since then. :)

Yes, as is XR3. I like both in a 17Gauge and I am prone to TE.

I just strung 2 of my POG Mids with Prince original gut (got it in trade) with a syn gut cross (Im cheap) and I love the feel of it. I had been having some tenderness in my elbow and I played for 2 hours Sunday and 3+ hours today and my elbow feels pretty good. In fact I just ordered 2 more sets of Babolat Tonic + 16 this afternoon. I would try the gut. I may not have tried it had I not got it on trade but I will be keeping this as my set up from now on.

I think someone had posted a link where there's a list of almost all strings with their brand, flex, guage, etc. I really need that, please help!!
