I have just one red light in the bottom right corner and on the screen it say E 74. I've looked on youtube and i can only see the towel trick, and it only last for a few days.

Help, please?

Thank you.

Make sure all your cables are connected properly... sometimes people don't push the A/V cables all the way in to the Xbox. It could also be your power brick is over heating. Make sure it is not covered up.

Well, time to get a PS3 and escort the Xbox 360 to the trash can.

I second that notion

I thought Microsoft has a three year warranty on them now and they fix those puppies free of charge. Or does that only apply to the three red lights failure?

I applied new thermal cooling compound and installed heatsinks on the smaller GPU chips. As well asmodify the mounting of the larger heatsinks to eliminate the clmaping method on the inside. I think XBOX scene still has the instructions for that.

You may have to send it back to the manufacturer, and they'll fix it for free. Everybody I know who has an X-Box 360 has experienced the Red Ring of Death at one point or another.

Im gonna ship it back. But my warranty has run out. i bought it in November 2007. After the success and popularity the 360 has had over the past 3 years, you would think Microsoft would stop them from breaking.

That's no problem. Microsoft have unlimited warranty when it comes to the Red Ring of Death, they'll fix it for you.
