View Full Version : Stamina and the Serve Return
I had a couple questions on stamina and returning your opponents serve. I've realized that if I run a lot during the game, my game improves significantly, and I was wondering what are some training exercises I could do to improve my stamina. Second, I find returning my opponents serve the hardest part of the point because if I successfully hit it back, my game eases up and becomes stable, and I was wondering if you guys have any tips on returning the serve.
Geez, I get tired when my opponent runs me around the court, then play worse, see worse, breathe harder.....
For return, what do you mean by "stable".
I try to vary my spins and pace, placement and depth, IF I CAN. Unfortunatly, most of my opponents are better players, and they dictate the point from their serve..... so I"m reacting and trying for a low, but deeper than service line return. Anything I return high just gets volleyed into one of my corners.
