I don't really get what you're going for with your purchase.

If you're going to do hybrids, you should have gotten two kinds of main string, and two kinds of cross, for a total of four different jobs, which should all be done at the same tension.

I just ordered these strings because of how much other people have said they liked them, so I could give them a try too. Heres what I conjured up:

1. PSBG Mains w/ PSTitan Cross
2. Cyberflash Mains w/ Gosen Sheep Micro Cross
3. PSBG Mains w/ Gosen Sheep Micro Cross
4. Cyberflash Mains w/ PSTitan Cross

I'll probably try the other three I have in full sets.

But I still don't know what tensions I usually string in the 63-65 lb range depending on string. I think I'll just go 64 lbs for all four jobs I listed above. But if anyone has any suggestions on mixing in the M2 or Sweet, or adjusting the tension then I'll be sure to consider them.

In my experience, there isn't really any point to use Blue Gear in a full bed. I would do a Blue Gear/ Titan, with the titan upped 2 or 3 pounds. That will give you the spin of blue gear with the softness of the titan. Gosen would work too.

Not too bad, 27 bucks about 32 with shipping. I get both of mine restrung about every 2-3 weeks in rotation. So this stuff should last me till may.

Thats only like 30 bucks, unless he bought all reels, in which case thats a lot more.

How powerful is the titan? Compared to say, Gamma Poly X-tra, Kirschbaum P2, Kirschbaum smash spikey, Babolat PHT.

Or if you prefer, is it a rocket launcher, crisp pop, or a dull, mute feeling?

thanks

Well the titan is more powerful than all those, because its a synthetic gut. So it may not be the best if you like low power. But the mains really take over the playing characteristics of the stringbed, so its not that bad when your using a stiff, low powered string like Blue Gear. Just make sure the tension is high enough.

Why didn't you get the buy 2 get 1 free deal that TW has right now? you could have gotten 6 sets for 48.

Here's one: Blue Gear 1.25

"The amount of spin that can be produced with this string is INSANE…I found much more spin the BB ALU power, Big Ace and many others. The ridges do wear off after a while but then it just performs like a regular poly. This string does feel on the stiff side after using Big Ace and loses a bit more tension. Some of my customers have switched over to Blue Gear from BB ALU power…they love the spin and also the price! The main problem with this string for ME was the complete lack of feel…I felt very detached from the ball when hitting with Blue Gear and found it horrible at net. This string is perfect for baseline players that run around hitting topspin all day and like long rallys. I found that dropping the tension adds some more feel...very interesting and unique string."

I'm afraid the cyberflash will bite through the forten sweet, did that happen on yours. Back when I used Babolat PHT/xcel several times this happened.

using a solid core syn gut is a much better idea than using a multi
