I just did the math. 16sets of m2 equal a 200m reel of m2. 16 sets of m2 is 3.12 dollars. a reel of m2 is 318. thats dumb. usually buying a reel is cheaper. anyone else notice this?

It's Luxion. People who buy that expensive stuff don't really care about a few dollars. They care about it being easier to string from reels.

Wasn't there an identical issue regarding Wilson's new Hollow Cores?? Questionable pricing abound in Tennis Warehouse :)

Actually, I found it to be slightly more cost effective to buy an M2 reel. 660 feet makes 33 half sets (20 feet) at 9.65 each.($318.5/33=9.65) 1 package makes 2 half sets at 9.75 each. (19.5/2=9.75) Again, its only $.10, and if you screw up one half set on the reel, you've lost money.

Then again, if you use a small frame with an open pattern, you save even more. If you only use 17 feet per half set, it lowers the cost per half set to $8.38.

yeah but the only rackets that are small head sizes with really open string patterns are sticks like pog and there arent a lot of rackets like that

or K 6.1, APD, PD, Prestige Pro, MG Extreme, aerogel 300, Speedport Black, Ozone Tour, Diablo, K Tour, K Pro Open, Pure Storm, Storm Tour.... Basically anything under 100sq. inches and with 16 mains uses less than 20 feet of mains, so it lowers the cost. And crosses use even less.
