Sharp rackets. I think the puma frame design is one of the nicest ever. Even the black/white and white/blue paint jobs on the estusa's are one of my favorites. I hear they play as good as they look.

sure do play like solid gold...the winner is amazing, will always keep a torn up one I have which is perfectly strung at 45-50 ish...some racquets have totally different playability than normal...yamaha secret and puma winner come to mind...imagine having the precision of a racquet ball or squash racquet and that awesome power and effortless controll in a tennis racquet....this is the puma winner defined...fiberglass like that no longer exists, it creates a racquet thats cuts through balls like butter, dwell time is perfect and strokes feel totally fluid and natural, the ball has no weight with a super, different than anything else, possibly much much better!!! actually more rare than gold these fiberglass felt crushers, totally resilient...a rubbery stick but not mushy!!!...hence the name Puma "winner"...

plasma do you have any specs on the Puma Winner? I'm big fan of composite frames with fiberglass.

I had a chance to hit with a Boris Becker Super one time but found it to be quite a beast (heavy). The swing weight seemed pretty high because it took some effort to get around.

I just looked up the Puma Winner specs and strung weight it's 382 grams (13.47 oz.!) Yikes. I was hoping the composite was lighter than that. I guess it's fairly similar in weight to the Puma Super then.

Humm I found Puma Super specs and its actually lighter than the Puma Winner at 364g strung (12.84 oz.) according to 80s-tennis.com. I figured it would be the other way around.

it swings about half as light as a prestige or prostaff, the pumas float thru the air due to their balance, it's hard to explain in words...you don't feel the weight of the racquet or ball at all..very zen!!!

i'm intrigued, what is stated on the raket-face labels? i assume one side is puma pro-line but i can't make out what is on the other side.

hi gonzalo...looks like the puma winner to me...the best racquet puma ever made!!! I might switch back this season...never has such flexibility provided such mega rubbery power. Same control as a ps 85 with much more pop and dwell time (strange combo I know). All the good fiberglass is gone, just like the good graphite. Puma winner was 80% fiberglass. How ironic that it's painted like steel...it's made of rubber! does anyone have the awesome thread where tw goes to a boat slavage to buy the last "good fiberglass" for racquets???

Hit with the Universal Midsize recently... *Awesome* stick. I just kept having this urge to dive at a volley though  Thought Boris was nucking futz for not switching to something newer... 'till I hit with it. Ausgetzeichnet...!!!

All 3 should be 50% Graphite, but they are not exactly the same.
Watch closely...

puma vilas....ohm! more pics pls. I heard the super was 50/50 and the winner was 80% fiberglass 20% graphite...are you sure about the vilas composition? does it hit like a winner??? (puma wnner)

is the composition of the Davis cup listed anywhere? thanks for the amazing pic, a few of us old schoolers are in shock and bowing with tears of joy in our eyes that the savior has come. (For those of you who don't know the term "Holy Grail" officially refers to the Puma Vilas.)

No, not sure of the composition of the vilas. Some say 50%, some say 80% Graphite. Winner seams definately 30% Graphite.
Composition of the Davis Cup is listed nowhere. Just states "Graphite Composite".
Davis Cup is thinner than the Vilas. And Vilas is thinner as the Super. Super is not exactly the same mold as the Vilas and the Davis Cup. Watch the arrea on the throat where the grommets end...

I can't believe this is allowed on here, NAKED racquets in the shower:)

I've only been away from my computer for a week (unsuccesfully looking for a new job), and this sort of thing is going on, disgusting:)

pics pls, I am farmilair with the davis cup but not this model which you speak of, upon seeing pictures and the mold I could estimate the value..also tw has some great guidelines for rating condition.
