Anybody out there doing a full poly set-up on a PDR between 50 and 55 lbs?

I don't own it myself, but last weekend, I hit with a friend's PDR with full Babolat Pro Hurricane. It felt nice. Good amount of control, tons of spin, not harsh on the arm. I liked it alot. I believe he strung it at 55 lbs, but it hasn't been restrung in a while.

I prefer full poly on my PDR. Have strung as high as 64 with a full job of Cyberflash. No arm problems and it helps tone down the power.

I've tried a full Alu Spin job in my friend's Pure Drive 2nd Generation. It felt damn powerful, and the spin I got out of it was insane.

I play my PDR's with the full Pro Hurricane Tour at 55 lbs.

Nice spin, power AND control. Absolutely "arm - friendly"! I don't think that I will ever change this setup as long as I play with this type of racket!

I string with Big Ace rigth around there, although sometimes I feel I should go up near sixty to tame the power.

When I played with the PDR I was using CyberBlue or CyberFlash. I strung it from 55-57lbs typically.

Do you try thicker gauge like 16 or 15L instead of raising tension? I read somewhere that thicker gauge generates less power.

I have to agree 100%. I too use a full bed PHT, though at 61 mains and 59 for the crosses. Prior to this setup I used ALU in the mains at 55 and X1 at 60 in the crosses. Caused my arm to tingle and had too much power. PHT does wonders for my arm - even strung in the 60's. Want to try the 17g to see the difference.
