Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of any cheap quality string

Peramiters

2. I dont care about durability
3. no polys please
4. as playable as possible (good spin is a bonus)

Thanks Everyone

Prince topspin 16 should be good for that price range or gamma XL or Forten thin blend

Gosen OG Sheep Micro
Pro Supex Maxim Touch, a bit more expensive but nice string

Does Prince topspin 16 have good power?

+1 for Gosen -- $29.95 for a 660 foot reel; great playability; stupid-good value.

Wilson's super spin hexagonal got good reviews. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I'm planning on it.

Try Technifiber's E-Matrix. Very nice string that plays similarly to their more expensive multis, but doesn't last all that long.

Yep. Gosen vote for me. You might want to try Gamma synthetic gut too. Its not "as" good as Gosen, but it plays great for its price too.

Another vote for the Gosen OG Micro here... You absolutely cannot beat the price to performance ratio of this string

Wilson Superspin is a GREAT string, it literally rips chunks out of the ball. If you hit with heavy topspin though, you're going to have to start another thread titled "need cheap balls".

I dissuade against Gama syn. gut. it looked like jello and played like it too. absolutely horrible string, IMO. PSGD is a good choice.

i think this thread sold me on trying Gosen. jeez, it's like 3:1 on the voting.

I just strung up with POSG 17 today so I'll give that 2 days worth of practice and then switch to Gosen next week. If it's that good, I don't mind using it for a week, cutting it out and stringing up again.

Do the different colors of Gosen play differently from being treated?

My recommendation for most playable non poly string bed under $5.99 would be a mid priced multi like Technifibre Multifeel or Babolat Addiction in the main and Forten Sweet in the cross. More power, feel and control than any all synthetic gut hands down.

Forten Sweet, 2.99 per set. I would say order a lot of them because the shipping is a killer

If gosen is too expensive for you, you can always buy weed whacker strings.

I like Babolat Super Fine Play 17 660' reel is 39.95 a little more than Gosen OG 29.99, but it plays great. Go for the White, it is a little stiffer and last longer.
