Hey guys,

Where can you buy stickers to put on racquets that record tension / date strung...? Or do you guys just tape on a little bit of paper this info? Thanks!

I usually get one with each set of string and a small stack with a reel.

I create my own using a Brother PT Touch printer. It produces small laminated type labels in bright colours (yellow, green, blue and red) that really stand out.

I put my details, tel numbers, website, string, tension and dates.

I also use a Brother P Touch label maker. With it, I can put more information on the same size label and it doesn't smear.

The problem with the stickers is that they fade and smear. What I tell the people I string for is to use a piece of the white adhesive tape and a pen or waterproof marker. It lasts forever, doesn't smudge, doesn't fade.

I also use a Brother P touch label maker. it works like a charm !

when it's time to replace the label is comes off very easy with no residue.

The USRSA has nice racquet labels with their logo on it for their members. They are cheap enough, and work. They are laminated so what you write on it will not smudge. A nice looking label, and cheap.

I actually don't put anything like this on the frames I string for customers. I keep a database in my computer of customers and their string type, tension, and date strung. For myself I simply have a small sticker inside the buttcap that tells me the frame # and then I can look up the info in my computer if I don't remember based on that. Most customers I find don't really care if it has a sticker or not and many don't even notice. That said I can use my database to send customers reminder emails too.

If you use Stringjob.com you can print your saved data directly to Brother and Dymo labels. The service is *free* up to 10 customers; $10.00 per month for the full blown version. John Gugel's software is deeper in terms of data and capabilities, but will not work on my Mac. Stringjob is web based. I slip the printed label into the poly bag with the strung racquet and allow the customer to decide whether they want to apply it.

Good idea just putting the label in the bag with the newly strung stick and letting the customer decide. I like it a lot and am gonna start doing the same.
