Head strings do not seem to get alot of attention on these forums. I was wondering if anyone plays with them or has used them in the past and if so what are your thoughts.
Head RIP perfect control is 1'st multi for me. I have been using it since 2007.

I'm with Bozo, The 17g HRC is soft and pretty durable.Have my K61's a full bed with 16gHRC and plays fine.
Pick up a couple packs worth the try.Good for hybrids, decent price
Just so you know it's no Biophase but X-1 is in it's own league.

the head string that i have used (FXP power, and C3 rocket) have played ok for me. its a nice affordable string (the ones availble to me at my tennis shop) but doesn't last that long...

I've tried RIP Control before, it seemed to be a decent string.

I have not tried many of the Head strings but I have used the Sonic Pro and they are nice strings.

I'm currently testing Rip Control 17 in my Babolat Pure Storm Ltds. I'm digging them quite a bit. Durability is about 8 sets for me and the cross broke first. They play well and hold tension superbly. Shockingly about par with Klip Legend.

The normal Syn Gut is total crap. It's an absolute nightmare to string and it feels just about as good as it plays - plasticy.

I LOVE Rip Control. However--frays a lot. If I had deep pockets and a padded wallet--I'd have it in there all the time.

Just finished playing with a full set of Head RIP Control 17. I really liked it, but only got about 8 hours out of it on a Babolat Pure Control +. Want to order some more, but first curious how the 16g compares to the 17g.
Has anybody played with both the 16g and 17g RIP Control? If they play similarly and the 16g will last a tad longer, I'm inclined to get the 16g.
Also, how does the RIP Perfect Control (and Perfect Power, for that matter) compare to the regular RIP Control, other than the fact it's more expensive? I can't really see how it's different.
Thanks for any feedback. I'm excited to have finally found a string I really like that is reasonably priced.
