I really like my current hybrid setup of Pro Red Code 17 and X1 biphase 16. I can find the reel of PRC but I can't find anywhere to get a reel of X1. Anyone know where I can pick one up?

I doubt they make sets of X-1. Some TF sponsored players I've strung racquets for don't even have reels of it - only the sets that come in the smooth cardboard packs. Reels of NRG2 are made, though.

I'm lucky enough to be friends with a couple of guys that run tennis shops - they'll usually cut me a deal on X-1 and NRG2 and give it to me at cost (which is $8 a set, apparently).

that is a good deal..must be nice to have connections lol..my friend used to be sponsored by technifibre so he gave me a few sets of the stuff as well...like when it first came out :)

Well that's officially uncool! I know buying the reel is more expensive but it saves in the end. Oh well.

There are reels available for the squash version of X1. It is a bit thinner at 1.18 mm but comes in a reel.
