Just wait for something to knock Djoko and Simon out of the tournament.

I dislike people that answer question with a "smart arse" answer. I don't know if you've heard of something called rumour? No?? Look it up. For that reason my title was with a question mark "?" and not and exclamation mark "!", as the news is still fresh and I wasn't sure if that article was a fact or rumour, alright?? Great. :)

didn't really help too much.

"I woke up this morning sweating and I went back to bed for another three hours from 12pm to 3pm.

"Nothing has worked so far."

Murray plans to return to his London base and will allow himself some relaxation time.

He said: "I'm going to try to take a few days off.

"I'll probably go home tomorrow.

"I just need to rest.

"I've obviously played a lot of tennis in the last few weeks and months.

"I hope I'm going to feel better in the next week or so." oh well, let's see what happens now.

Yes, another sore throat may come along.

hopefully it isnt mono

The London Times say he was tested extensively after the AO and mono was ruled out.

Let's hope they're right.

I don't care. News can be posted that are still just rumours and if i'm not sure about it, i'll put a question mark at the end of my sentence.:)

Getting ill it`s really tough for any player.Hopefully for him it won`t be that bad or he might have to play catch up all season and it will be a continous struggle

Anyway, it's confirmed. Murray is on a plane back to London, the author of the article wasn't making it all up. Wonder if he'll play the upcoming masters tournaments.

Three of the top four players injured/sick is not a good thing for men's tennis right now. Ugh.

i'd start feeling sick to if i was getting ready to play a guy that i barely escaped the last time we played(i.e gasquet was too sick to play roddick n davis cup) :)

just kidding of course, let hope its nothing serious

Never mind the Masters tournaments - I have tickets for Britain's DC match next week!

All joking apart, I'd be extremely surprised and hugely worried if Murray doesn't play IW and Miami because of his current condition. Can't see him playing DC though:(

High probability this is the event's last year.

Not this time - he's been punted, and rightly so. They're having a playoff - see my thread about the 6 hour 40 minute match.

All those great Serb tennis players and we end up with Boggo:(

Man, there must be a mono epidemic down in Australia. Federer last year, now Murray this year.

Jamie Murrays been dropped from the DC as well. So we got Bogdanovic, Chris Eaton, Ross Hutchins, Josh Goodall and Jamie Baker?

This is Gasquet's chance to prove he can win a big event. That's probably why he'll lose...:-(

players will be very disappointed if so. This is a big money event for them.

These guys should play Australia, then take a break, warm up at the Indian Wells and Miami, and then hit full stride from Monaco through year end tournament, if they qualify. Playing right after Australia just guarantees more injuries.

They'll be another big money event held elsewhere. Dubai has already gone bankrupt, and its expat population are leaving the kingdom. They've yet to pay the $2mil security deposit for next year, and they won't in order to save face.

His symptoms sounds suspiciously like "mono"; remember Roger's diagnosis wasn't confirmed until well after Oz Open last year. Hope Murray recovers quickly....
