My strings are tearing- It's hard to explain and I can't post any pics- where the string intersects I notice that there is some substantial tearing- How has this impacted my game, I should definitely restring, right? And does this mean that I hit really hard or that I don't change my string often?

its called fraying and it happens to everyone using a multi assuming you have even moderate bat-speed.

I had my racquet restrung- was that a good idea?

Er...
A year on the same set of strings....
On my older rackets, the string would always break after 20 days.
Current racket, soft Mfil 200, strung at 62 lbs. has lasted 3 months (I rotate thru 3), and I"m amazed.

I don't use the racquet a lot- It's my backup. I just got it strung with the Luxilon M2 at 60 pounds.

Dude, if you can't break NXT 16 in over a year, then there is absolutely no reason to use poly.

exactly what zach said-I've been lookin at polys because i break gamma tnt within about 3-4 hours-you should maybe be lookin at synthetic gut or a multi
