Has anybody ever tried the Yonex SHT 306EX Tennis Shoes (Black/Silver/Green) (NEW)????
I wear the SHT 304 Grey/silver and wonder if they have the same toe room and if the middle area still has the same type of elasticity??

Hey Vizsla, i'm a Yonex wearer here. I actually prefer my 304's over 306's. The 306 are a bit heavier, and do have a snugger fit. Not quite as much toe room as the 304s. But I must say I love the new green color. And the red isn't too bad.

The SHT-306 fits my feet very well. The only other shoe that I can compare fit and comfort with is the Asics Gel Resolution 2. The fit of the 306 is snug and very cushy. I just wished Yonex would warranty this model because it is fairly expensive.

I fully agree. 304 are great in the toe box.

Main reason why I went to ASICS or you could but the 305, if you can find them for a cheaper price.

I also agree about the 304s, and wish the 306s had the same toe room - did you purchase the Asics reolution 2? If so, what is your take on the fit? I've read mostly they run a half size small, but a couple of people stated they run big - what is your take? thanks!

Tried the 306...way to narrow in the toebox and also stiff stiff stiff...no thanks..the 304 is ok and wear those quite a bit. Sure wish they would just go back to 305's nothing else compares.
Wish I had another spare pair.

Yes indeed the 305s were magical. I e-mailed the US rep and told him of my dissapointment with 306s. After I wear through my 306s I'm going to try the Asics Res II. Someone has posted I think that the fit of Res IIs is wider than Res I. I hope it's simillar to 305s.

I'm on my second pair of 306's. I wore the electric blue one's first now I'm on the white/red ones. The new green/silver ones are awesome looking but I'll have to wait until they go down in price. Good thing I have a pair of Prince T-20's to wear until they do. It's funny how I think the ugliest shoes are the ones that fit me the best: Asics Gel Resolutions and Yonex SHT-306's. Nike and Adidas are cool looking shoes but they don't fit like Yonex does.

Are there any other diffs between the 306 (red/white) and 304R than the toe box?
And by the way, what to do you mean saying more room in the toe box - is it higher or broader?
Should I order the same sizes of the both models?

I have been through 3 pairs of the yonex 306s, they were pretty comfy for me, and the shoes are extremely light. I just switched the to CB 1.3 about a month ago, and i got to say, i can tell the different between the lightness. if you like light shoes go for these

I have high arch and these shoes do not work for me. They have good cushioning but I started having arch pains. I figured it took some time to break them in but after a playing a couple hours for 5 or 6 days, I had plantar fasciitis.
I went with the Nike Vapor VI and whlie they are are a pain to break in, my arch problems went away.

I have worn all the above. My fave is the 304. It does have a roomier toe box than the others. That being said I wouldn't hesitate recomending the 306's. Yonex makes great light shoes. I might also add that the new 307s are coming out soon. I have seen a pic of them. Hopefully they will be an improvement in all areas and kick all the other shoe makers butts LOL.
