Hard to say, I took a slight punt on Fed finishing first. I just don't think Rafa will be anywhere as good this year....lots of point to lose on clay and grass.

It's starting to look like it will all depend on their health. It'll be the last man standing. Plus, if Federer really only cares about the Grand Slams, how many points could he lose along the way?

Ok since obviously I have to make it clear to you. You just got some of your medicine back.

My point is that your prediction is as good as mine. I have my reasoning to estimate what I did, and you have yours.

There was no place for you to post a comment like you did, and that is, my friend, called trolling, not when I post my opinion on the subject. If you didn't like my list you could have posted some arguments against it, not just silly childish flaming.

Even if he's not, it's an enormous ask for Federer to actually overtake him again, especially now that Nadal already has a Slam under his belt this season. Unless he's struck by lightning or something, it would take a virtual miracle for Nadal to not win the French Open, which would already give him the first two Slams of the season. Federer would then need to win both Wimbledon and the US Open just to tie Nadal in the Slams, and Roger doesn't have anywhere near the kind of security in those events that Nadal does with a Slam already won and another he's a virtual shoe-in for. Unless, again, something really bizarre happens, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray should all stand as serious rivals for Federer at Wimbledon and the US Open, and at this stage, Roger doesn't seem to be completely above suffering a freak upset either, given that floaters have extended him to five sets in three of the last five Grand Slam tournaments, and in the last one, Berdych was on the verge of finishing him off before his epic choke. I think it'there's still a good chance Federer will pull off either a Wimbledon or US Open title this season, but a #1 finish seems extremely unlikely to me.

Right now, I agree with several people that the Nadal-Federer-Murray-Djokovic-Roddick lineup is looking good, but since this is the most common pick on the thread, I don't imagine there's any great need to submit it.

You are aware that Tsonga has been to the round of 16 in Wimbledon, right? It's unfortunate that he had to run into Gasquet who got to the semis that year. If he had gotten past Gasquet I would have liked his chances against Roddick too.

How did he "steal" Paris? I don't understand.
I think Nadal, Djoko and Federer will stay in the top 5 (Nadal is pretty much guaranteed to with his AO win). Murray will too providing the virus that's affecting him now is not a severe case of mono, if that was the case I don't like his chances at all. There will be a fight for the 5th place, hard to tell so early in the year who will take it.

No, it's Zets, he was one of the best posters ever. Had his own shortcomings of course (who doesn't) that are hardly worth mentioning. A bit of a *******, occasionally disrespectful of all-star posters, questionable judgment of equipment, etc. Yet for a long time defined the culture of the boards, and a lot of top juniors and upcoming pros looked up to him for various reasons.

I don't think anyone would see anything wrong with the one you posted. I think many people would see many things wrong with the one I posted. But please, I don't want to be dragged into the anti-Nadal quagmire you people are running... I am innocent.

maybe you see something wrong with this :D

^^ yeah bad posture and poor choice of colour and design of underwear, both of them. But that does nothing to exonerate Federer or cast shadows on Nadal, so it's points for Nadal, if anything.

Why? WHY? Why did you ruin the good mood of the thread like that, vtmike.

The monkey proved too controversial obviously. I thought I would carry it if Nadal fans thought it was cool, but I was getting *******ish vibes from the forum feedback, so...

I didn't see online streams for Hungary/Bulgaria and it's not on my eurosport either, so... And besides I wasn't too worried about it, because Hungary doesn't have any players. Dimitrov is going to clinch it tomorrow for sure!:)

Haha you are right, but I can sort of see where he is coming from. You see, in the mindless world of fed fans, Nadal is an institution of sorts that encompasses all that is perceived as anti-fed. Therefore, "the Nadal" may include anything ranging from Djokovic beating him in AO, to Simon/Murray fed pawnage, to anything pro tennis that looks good. So in a way, such people are not capable of distinguishing between the many objects and concepts that run contrary to the fragile cardhouse kingdom established within their shrunken brains. Quite sad, really...

Who will finish top five at the end of this season? Winner will receive a tube of smarties. In the case of more than one winner the smarties will be shared!

My entry:
1. Federer
2. Nadal
3. Murray
4. Djokovic
5. Roddick

Just wanted to keep this thread alive after recent events. Mine and a few others' predictions are looking good at the moment!

Just looked through the entire post and not even one person has got the correct five players in their list let alone guessing the finishing order!

I guess we TW posters do not know what we're talking about after all.
