Sooo, I have decided to switch to the 1HB. I just felt that with the 2HB, it felt awkward.

I tried it out yesterday and it is not so bad. I just need a little more practice.

My questions are, with a 1HB, do you use topspin, flat, or slice shots more?

For me, it is hard to hit extreme topspin with a 1HB. I also have trouble hitting a 1HB approach shot. What are you supoosed to do with a 1HB on an approach?

If you have any good tips for 1hb please post.

I switched from a two-handed back hand to the onehanded don't worry its possible. The shoulder turn, or lack of, will be what is the hardest to adjust to.

Also, I have a one handed backhand thread in Odds & Ends if you're interested.

Xtreme topspin.. semiwestern or extreme eastern backhand grip, low to high swing.
topspin.... eastern backhand grip, low to high swing.
flat... ebh or conti grip on lower balls, flat thru./
Slice... any grip high to low swing
Approachs....what you want? Fast mover, ebh slice.
Slowmover, conti with some forehand grip slice. But you gotta swing harder, longer, have forward body position to produce the lower, skidding approach shot.
