I have a chance to get 2 hps 6.1 for a good deal. I was wondering if they were similar to the Nsix-one 95 16x18(my current stick).

As far as I was told, they are pretty similiar to each other. I had a guy in a tennis shop tell me that the only difference is the weight and HL. weight is less and HL is a little less. This is what he told me. do some research online to get a better hold on these 2 rackets. Think of these 2 rackets as the K6.1.... the hps is more like the k6.1 team and the n6.1 is like the regular k6.1 12 ouncer.

I used the Hyper Pro Staff 6.1 (95) for four years, then switched to the nCode version for the past three.

There are only a couple subtle differences. The HPS has a VERY solid feel, mostly noticeable when you place that perfect volley or crack a well-timed serve. The nCode, however, is more forgiving. If you miss it slightly, it'll be okay. I preferred the HPS, being a serve and volley-er. You can' really go wrong between the two, but if I could find more HPS, I would go back to them.

Hope that helps!

The HPS 6.1 was my main racket for a number of years. I switched to the n61 95 when the HPS 6.1 was discontinued some number of years ago. The most noticeable difference to me is that the n61 is more powerful and more muted. The HPS 6.1 has better feel and is more control oriented. It took me awhile to adjust to the power and more muted feel of the n61. I prefer the n61, mainly because of the increased power, however, the HPS 6.1 is a very nice stick.

In terms of weight and balance, the two rackets are very similar. Both are 12oz+, HL.

I agree with everything Barney says. I have used both for some time and can go back and forth, but have stayed with the HPS more for the feel than the slight boost in power. I feel I can control my serve with the HPS better.

Very similar...not much difference at all. In my opinion, the HPS 6.1 swings just a tad bit lighter and is not quite as muted as the nCode 6.1. I prefer the HPS but have played extensively with both (paint job is cooler on the HPS too!).

The HPS has a more raw feeling than the n6.1. The HPS also feels better at net since it's stiffer.

Did anyone play with the HPS 6.1 18x20? I believe also called Tour or Euro version, mines say Tour on the throat. I have a pair of these, they are 12.8oz 330 sw. I do have a good 20 player's racquets and among all, these are very likely to become my holy grail. Very, very control oriented. Very solid AND maneuverable stick.

I just need to find a string that really bites into the ball.
Does anyone achieve any good stringing ideas with K6.1 /18x20s, or this stick if you have it?
