Learn to attack then Fed you MORON!!!. It hasnt got through his thick skull that after 4 years he is always playing to Nadal strengths and never his weaknesses.

Oh hes too good for a coach. I forgot. LOL.

You know.. For a such successful tennis player, he doesnt have much of a brain when it comes to strategy. 4-5 years later, Fed is still playing Nadal the same way as before. Letting his BH get attacked and exposed and never forcing the issue. Which I dont get because in his early days he had some pretty serve-volleying going

hey dude, i never said Federer is an idiot because he threw his racquet when he missed that smash, but definitely what Nadal did on that video is not the same, he was already on his chair and kind of dropped his racquet furiously. i know its a kind of stupid discussion but to me its not the same. he was mad at the umpire and they were in the middle of the break, so you can still say that Nadal has NEVER thrown his racquet againts the floor which is definitely a bad example for the kids.

I don't see anything wrong with throwing a racquet. Sometimes you just gotta relieve a little of the tension. I like it when a guy shows some personality, both the happy and the upset.

Besides, these guys didn't sign up to be "role models", they signed up to play tennis.

He used to smash racquets all the time when he was younger. Big deal.

Immature??? He answered the question honestly, didn't he? That was one of the funniest comments he ever made. The interviewer kind of walked him into it anyway.

Maybe you were being sarcastic?

i see your point and thatīs your opinion. i admit its funny to me sometimes watching jonh mcenroe yelling at the umpire on youtube, but im a tennis teacher i definitely dont want my kids to behave like that. sure they didnīt sign up to be role-models, but they are, fact. So if they dont have manners, they should be fined in my opinion

Serve and volleying is dying. It's a true shame. Some idiots at the ATP think that variety hurts the game. The strings alone are hurting serve and volley. It doesn't help that fast surfaces are being removed. There is no ATP carpet tournaments now because they've been banned.

But I agree, Fed needs to attack.

Why? The money they win is for their performances in the match, not for their performances off the court. Their athletes, and we need to stop building them up as moral pontifexes. Are you going to start penalizing them points if they get publicly intoxicated or have kids out of wedlock too?

Let them play. As long as they play tennis, they're doing their job.

The NHL penalized Avery for making obscene comments. Many leagues penalize players for off court behavior. Universities sometimes penalize students for obscene behavior off-campus. The idea is that "professions" don't want to be characterized by bad-behavior, in other words if you're an *** they don't want you to be in their league, go play by yourself.

It's the closest thing you'll see to smashing a racket, though it shows more his passion for excellence than anything.
