I was watching this highlight

and i forgot how amazing her backhand is. This probably isn't even a good highlight that shows her versatility.

Does any woman in the game have a backhand like hers. It was gorgeous. I would even say that it was prettier than Feddys and Gasquets. Most beautiful backhand in the game... simple as that.

thoughts??

It depends if you measure a great backhand by style or results?

I'd rather return Henin's backhand than either of the Williams sisters'.

I can't disagree with you, Henin's backhand was beautiful to watch. It's a far better backhand, relatively speaking than Federer's. Evonne Goolagong's backhand is beautiful also.

If you're talking just of the stroke aesthetics, not necessarily it's effectivness, then we already have it in Carla Suarez-Navarro.

But Henin's combination of aesthetics and effectiveness may not be matched for a while.

I like Suarez-Navarro's backhand. It's very nice to watch, and it has its moments.

The only other top-ranked woman with a SHBH I can think of is Mauresmo (although she's going downhill fast). But I would agree with the other posters about Suarez' backhand being stronger.

Agree with bluetrain; Suarez-Navarro has such a superb, beautiful backhand, perhaps not quite as good as Henin's yet, but I think she' still young and can only improve. She had such a great run at this year's Aussie Open. Let's hope we see more of her the rest of the year.
