he has 17 masters shields, federer i believe has 13. even if fed matched agassi's 17, correct me if im wrong but agassi won the masters titles when they were all best of five sets whereas fed won only a handful when it was best of five. what do you guys think?

Agassi is just a man of mysteries to me. One day he avoid the big tournaments. Other days he complete a career grandslams. I love him. I think fed is pretty pooped in his career. Once you fall from being up there soo long and up high, when you fall you fall hard.

While Agassi is one of the greatest atheletes ever, Nadal and Maybe even Federer could have a claim for that. Nadal and Federer have dominated like Agassi never did, and while i love the guy for his perseverance, his longetivity definitely helped. While this is a compliment to his fitness what Nadal and Fed have done in the Master has been phenominal

If you go strictly by tournament titles, he is.

Masters events should still be 5 setters.

first, the current masters series format with 1st round byes and best of 3 sets finals began only in 2007,and federer won only 2 that year, and none after that. second, not all masters series have best of 5 sets, i believe. and federer currently has 14 for another correction. meaning 12 of his masters series shields followed the old format, very far from your so-called "handful".

Masters only began in 1990, so that isn't as impressive as seems.
