What racquet is Pete using these days? I watched his recent match vs Wilander and see that he's still using a Wilson (as is Wilander). What model is it?

(sorry if this thread has occurred already...)

I still love watching him play. The volley touch, the power groundies, the huge serve. It's a beautiful sight to see.

As do I......as do I.

I was also pleased to see Edberg and Rafter. Great stuff.

Have to agree with you that its a joy to see Pete back on the tennis court. He still has that great service motion, and the ball makes a special "thwonk" when it hits the curtain way behind the baseline.
The sweet volley motion is still there, as is the forehand. I think his 1HBH has gotten more consistant from two years ago.
It seems like they have hit on the right format in the Outback Tour to get reasonable tennis out of these guys without killing them with more or longer matches.
(I guess you've missed the multiple threads on the PS88.)

Him and Pat Rafter are the best players on tour by far. What racket is Rafter using ?? Dunlop 500 aerogel?

oh, that was such a sight for sore eyes to see Sampras play again. Wilander too. And Edberg.
But Sampras... ahhhh! :D

played with 88 and it is a very very nice stick. A tad bit on the heavier side for me..But good as a backup I guess...

hey RalphNYC please don't rush out to buy it. It isn't recreational player friendly.

Rome is rained out so they might be showing some of the last year matches. That was the championships I believed.

Petes game is awesome. Hes a great thinker on court and he has the big game to go with it.

Yes, he was. I also noticed that and it appeared he wasn't taking too big a cut at the ball...

Petes game is awesome. Hes a great thinker on court and he has the big game to go with it. A great thinker? Really? Hmmm...I never thought of him that way. It always seemed to me that the big game kept him from having to be a great thinker - I mean, how much thought does it take to bomb a 140 MPH serve down the T?

If that's all it took, Roddick would still be #1! Pete's serve wasn't ALL speed, and he showed that against guys like Agassi (from whom he wouldn't be getting tons of free points) he could still hold his own from the baseline.
