Magnificent!

Murray has got the best backhand in the world no doubt in my mind. He can go across court, down the line, can hit moon balls and can slice it.... with disguise. He has plenty of power and can hit the short angles too. Anyone disagree?

Yes, but so does Djokovic and Nadal

Nadals backhand is consistent but it is definitely his much weaker side. Murray did well to take to nadals backhand in 2nd set.

Murray and Djoko's backhand are the best.

Add Nalbandian and you're on to something.

I actually think that Nalbandian and Djokovic have better backhands than Murray.

After Nalbandian's. I just simply agree with Fed in this one.

Hands down; Murray. He can do more with it IMO.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Murray's backhand is disgustingly sick. :)

I love when he goes down the line.

aside from Nalbandian, Murray has more variety on his backhand wing than any of those guys. Marat, unfortunately, shows his supreme backhand every 5 yrs. Lol

I think Djoker has the better double hander he can flatten it out like Murray and can play with more spin.

Nothing wrong with those strokes in my opinion.

Yea I like Murray's but I don't think it is the best. He is probably top 10 though.

Add Nalbandian and you're on to something.

Nalbandian and Safin, both can do anything with it on the right day and I still think Gasquet's 1 hander is better than Murray's 2 hander.

I'd take Kohlschreiber's one-hander before I'd take Gasquet's. Beautiful stroke.

A 2 handed BH is clearly better when you play against someone like Nadal because it is easier to control the high balls...but against flat hitters a single handed BH is better because it will create better angles and push your opponent off the court...

NO! Andre Agassi had the best backhand, second to him Marat Safin he just doesn't move as well anymore. The AO 2004 semi they played was an unbelievable display of backhands. Throw Nalbandian in there too.

NO! Andre Agassi had the best backhand,

this i agree hehehe... he has the best the i have seen... there are some good ones these days, but his was always my favorite...

had them recorded and played 'em back a hundred times...just to learn how to hit a 2 hander...

The best backhand in the world unfortunately belongs to a fat lazy guy (Nalbandian). Murray is probably 2nd best.

It depends on what you understand by "best". For instance no one can crush a beastly BHDTL to the corner like Djokovic nowadays, just plain scary. And both Nalbandian and Nadal can get the sickest angles. Murray has the best defensive one, together with Nalbandian in his best days. And the 1HBHs always have that wow factor and sheer beauty.

I could agree with Murray's being the best all-round one nowadays.

There may be a few backhands better at coming over the ball than Murray, but Murray and Nadal probably have the most versatile backhands. They can come over the ball, flatten it when they need (Nadal can flatten out his backhand much more than his forehand), and both have good slices for two handed players.
