I'll take ANY kind of criticism, I've noticed that on my serves, I tend to have a HUGE takeback, which I've found that leads to a waste of hip/trunk rotation. Is there anything else wrong with my serves or groundstrokes?

Mate...you gotta keep that tossing arm up longer. This will aid in consistency and power.

i like your backhand. but your footwork sucks. get used to being on your toes at all times even when your waiting for the next ball in. footwork is everything in tennis.

When he hits the ball, he gets in position well and his footwork is fine.

The clip was too short tbh, needed to see more of you FH

on your backhand, i think i'd move your grip more to continental. it seems pretty far over towards eastern, and i think it's causing your backhand to land short. on your serve, you have a good knee bend and take back. however, instead of keeping your stance and going up to the ball, you drop your left shoulder before going up. keep your left shoulder higher than your right until you start to go up to get that shoulder over shoulder feel (especially if its a kick serve).

As a coach, the BH is the first order of business. The Courier-style baseball swing BH is passable, but always a liability. +1 to the "more continental" grip advice.

The tossing arm need to go up higher and stay up longer (what my girlfriend says... anyway).

The FH look prety good, then again almost everybody can hit a FH.

My .02 :

rent a ball machine or have your mom or dad, or a friend feed you 300 balls a day and twice on weekends. Set up targets with old shoes, racket cover, whatever... in each corner of the sideline/service box and sideline/baseline.

Start practicing purpose to your groundstrokes. Know you can hit 4-5 different FH's at will... that will help you improve.

his bh is fine. you have to hit in a manner that your comfortable doing. if he swings that way than so be it. hes just gonna have to do it enough that it doesnt break down.

everyone got the serve. hes dropping his body before hitting robbing himself of power and accuracy.

honestly we need a longer clip if possible to really breakdown any part of your game. its tough to get an idea of how good a player is from a short clip.

Yeah sorry about the super short clips. My camera is a terribly old Sony Cybershot, and it drains the double A's like mad when I actually set it to record video.

I've actually been told a few times before that my backhand is Jim Courier-like.

Yeah I know my footwork is atrocious in this clip, I can't remember if it was just a warmup to get my feet going or not.

Thanks for everything guys :)
